does inktomi pay-for-inclusion affect international engines?

hey folks, i asked a question regarding Inktomi's pay-for-inclusion as it relates to international engines here [webmasterworld.com]...

basic question is whether or not PFI will get you included in Goo, etc, too.

havent got an answer yet from the ink forum, and now i'm thinking the folks with answers may be over here.

any feedback or experience here?

Don’t know for sure but I would have thought so Goo pulls from Ink same as MSN the others so I can't see any reason why not.

I did a search with some of my PT pages using Goo and they showed

are your pages in the native languages? does that matter?

I've read that Goo does keep separate results for Japanese content that it picks up through its own spidering. However, Ink results are included in the SERPS like tigger said. I don't have any paid Ink pages, so unfortunately I'm not going to be much help here.

Native language pages are more heavily weighted in Goo in general. I have also noticed occasionally in Goo that searches on English keywords often give preference to sites with a Japanese domain (if that site happens to have applicable English content).

I thought I read that someone here had paid for Japanese language pages in Ink...who was that?

No English, just searched for a couple of keywords that I knew were listed within Ink

I have actually advised one of my clients to pay the INK fee for his Japanese site. Unfortunately there are no results yet, I have checked my pages in Goo and MSN and they are nowhere to be found.

Could anyone tell me which SE's does INK co-operate with on the Japanese market? Maybe I should have asked the question before paying the submission fee...
