Australia's Top10 SE's?

has anyone come across a trustworthy source of Australia's top ranking SE's?
Top ranking in the sense of users per month/week.

I totally agree Woz. I'm not seeing much traffic from AOL.com.au either as yet. Still like you said Inktomi is the way to go.

A number of my clients are seeing a slight increase in traffic from AltaVista and GOeureka in the past month - still nothing to write home about though ;)

I agree with Chris in that 70% of our referrals are coming from Google and Yahoo. However there was a large increase in traffic from AltaVista Australia and NineMSN last week. I'm getting quite a number of referrals from AOL Australia but it's nowhere near the figure we are getting from AOL.com.

I have a question or two about the AU market.

PPL suggest Inktomi via positiontech.. I have top rankings in Ink pure search and north american ink supplied engines, but when I search AU ink powered engines (can someone list a few btw?) I see no such rankings. Do I have to request something particular from positiontech?

I'm also not sure how to get my pages into the Australian Google results list. Although I see some of my competition here, with .com's and hosting in California... what's up with that?

Hi Naoise,

If you have submitted your url's to PT you should appear in all sites powered by Ink. Obviously you'll need to optimise for rankings. At this stage both Ninemsn and AOL.com.au use Ink in the AU market.

For Google as long as you're in google.com you will be in Anzwers.com.au (which is powered by Google).

Google are about to start powering AOL.com but I'm not sure if this will also happen to AOL.com.au. Does anyone know?

Thanks for your reply, but I'll admit I'm still confused. I maintain a significant number of top five rankings at Google.com, and none of those sites appear on any Anzwers.com.au SERPs. In fact, all I can see at Anzwers are TLD's of .AU ... hmm, guess that's my problem there?

Our Ink rankings, same thing. Take Iwon.com as an example, it has pure Inktomi SERPs, but my rankings don't show on ninemsn.com - In fact I see very dissimilar result sets.

AOL.com.au does indeed have our sites and the SERPS look like pure Ink.. so thats a plus :)
