Ebay China Test Water for B2C Market

It's said that more than 30 Chinese brand-famous companies will launch their online-shops at ebay.com.cn as flagship shops. Most of them come from digital product and fashion indusries.

I am sure that eBay learned their lesson after their hasty exit from the Japan market. If they can capitalize on those experiences they may have a chance in China. It sounds like they are taking a more serious approach to this market.

I don't know if it is true but ebay is losing markets in China.
It has relatively high fees for the Chinese and a lot of those similar auction sites are free to sell and they appeal to more users.

That doesn't sound too promising. Almost sounds like some of their missteps in Japan. Any other feedback from our members in China?

in fact, free membership is disappearing right in China. for example www.taobao.com launched a new program recently which rewards paid member a good rank in the search result.
