Linkdomain command not working properly

Different results between yahoo.com and yahoo.co.jp

i am currently working for japanese clients and noticed that yahoo.com and yahoo.co.jp retrieves quite different results with the command linkdomain.

If I do it in yahoo.com it gives 9550 links but yahoo.co.jp 335.000

Any clue? Should I rather use always yahoo.com? Its results seem closer to reality.

They are different companies, and probably use a different database to serve their results.

If you client's customers are in Japan, than yahoo.co.jp is the place to go.
