blogger in China

Seems like it is banned

I just wanted to say that blogger sites seem to be banned in China. While travelling there, just last December I could update my site on blogger, but couldn't view the site.

Did you check from more than one location? There have been sporadic reports of this service being blocked for several years now. I don't know that it's a comprehensive ban though.

I made a point of checking at every internet cafe I went to while I was there over the Christmas/New Year period. Strangely enough you can still post to your site.

Anyway, now I am running WP so I won't have the problem next time I am there.

every blog on the blogger network is block, all 29 million pages or so.

it's not a big conspiracy against blogger/blogspot.com , just the fact that it was probably easier to ban the main domain rather than individual subdomains such as myblog.blogspot.com
