Just noticed that Yahoo! Autralia's relationship with Channel 7 in has now spread to their branding - the Yahoo! Australia homepage as of today is branded as Yahoo!7.
Don't like the new colours though....

Can't say I even knew such a relationship existed. How long has this been the case?
Will be def. be interested to see if it impacts on the stats significantly.

There was a Yahoo! Press release [yhoo.client.shareholder.com...] on 9th December 2005 announcing the joint venture - but the homepage branding just changed

Agree with the comment about the colours, but layout is cleaner than usual. Cheers for the press article link Chris.
As to the NZ issue, just part of our evil plan for assimilation. ;)

maccas, does NZ have a different version at all? Or do you only get the Aussie TV guide etc. Prehaps they will develop one down the track.

It's always been AU&(token)NZ, its just more Aussie orientated now. Hey Woz wait till we unleash our black sheep [theage.com.au] onto you!

hey maccas, how big is Channel 7 in NZ, haven't been over in years. I am a dual citizen and always considering a better tax rate ;)
Also you'd better watch those black sheep, never know exactly what they get up to!

"how big is Channel 7 in NZ".
We don't get any Australian channels apart from Prime, which I believe is about to get sold to Sky. So yeah it is a bit odd (ignorant of Yahoo!) having the channel lineup, Australian news, weather (choose your state :/) etc for New Zealanders.

I spent last week in Wellington in our NZ office and realised that the "Overture AU tool" (for keyword search counts) actually reflects NZ searches too - searches for Dunedin hairdresser (or some local trades) are hardly coming from AU. This makes sense because Yahoo is A/NZ.
How this affects Yahoo NZ is an interesting question. - [nz.yahoo.com...] redirects to au.yahoo.com for me.
