Hello,

In the forum I made there is a strange problem with chinese characters.
I put a 70 chars limit in the topic name input but chinese users can't post more than 25 chinese chars? Someone said to me that 1 chinese char equals 2 western chars but in this case they should be able to post about 32 chars right?

thanks

It depends on how the software is handling things, but you're right about double byte characters taking up twice the space that way. Sometimes the encoded characters may take a bit more space and are not exactly double, so if you want longer titles allowed then you'll have to increase the number of single byte characters allowed for that field.
