Has anyone used HDFC banks Netsafe for making online payment in US$. Is there a limit to the amount you can pay at a time if you link it to your debit card?
If you have to pay the merchant US $100, do you have to add any transaction charges to the amount, before generating the virtual card.
any information will be appreciated.

I guess there aren't many people using this system. Maybe the Netsafe support people would be able to answer some of your questions?

I have asked Netsafe support for details but even after 4 days, i have not got any reply. Many companies/people use it here, but nobody seems to have documented it (or search engines dont list their websites)

Dear Caran1,

I have been using Netsafe for last 4/5 months. It's simply fantastic. I purchased many items from Baazee without any hassles. This month I have paid for my monthly hosting charges to a hosting service provider in US $. You can pay in that currency also using your netsafe card.

How's netsafe different from a regular debit card?
I also note that the visa debit cards issued by some banks in India don't work if I need to make online payments. Credit cards seem to be ok, however.
ICICI now has a lifetime free credit card offer, so that's a good option. However, what was wrong with the visa debit card, I wonder?
