From this article [jpost.com],

"Google ~ is planning to establish an office in Tel Aviv as part of its global expansion program".

"it has appointed Meir Brand (previously at AOL Time Warner, Microsoft, Booz Allen, Excite@Home and Hamilton) as country manager and its first employee of Google Israel."

"Google did not say when the office would officially open or its exact location."

Very interesting find Woz. We don't get too much news about that region's SEs so this is a nice change.

We know that Google has had the local language versions out for some time now, but not the local presence in the market. This is a pretty significant step in that direction. Do you think that Google being in that area will have any effect on their market share or the quality of their service?
