Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before. When I try to download any exe or zip file from my Apache server I only get about 100 KB of the file & of course the file gives you an "Invalid Win32 File" error. I tried from different computers & still get the same error.

I've been running my server for over a year & this just started 2 weeks ago.

What I'm running:
Apache 2.0.48
Windows XP Pro (SP1)
512 RAM
PHP 4.3

Just me again. To see what I mean click the link below to see a test file for download. You can see that the file size is 5.7 Meg but when you try downloading it, only 64 KB downloads.

<snip>

Any ideas at all would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

cjsa,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]!

Several people have reported various downloading problems when trying to use Apache 2.x and PHP. There are several threads here about it. Some report success by re-installing Apache, PHP, or both. Others have to revert to the latest release of Apache 1.3 (1.3.31) to fix the problem. In other cases, a server configuration error might be the cause. You might want to try searching WebmasterWorld for threads that describe situations similar to your problem.

If you have ZoneAlarm or any other software based firewall program running on your server, then disable/turn off/uninstall it, and try again.

It was working perfect for over a year until just last week it started acting up. But I correct the problem, I dumped Apache & went with another server. Everything is running great now.

Thanks to everyone for your help though.
