I thought at first it was an email collector, but I did a web search and it looks like it might be a content filtering proxy for corporate use, something called MIME Sweeper. But that just filters email, so I'm not sure.

The exact UA was "Mail Sweeper" and they hit only the first page of one of my sites. Anyone else seeing this?

Hello,

iamsad.co.uk has just been spidered by 'Mail Sweeper' from IP address 211.218.242.252 which seems to be the host of a Korean site, allthatcars.com, which is registered to TAE BEOM LEE through Network Solutions, so if we find ourselves spammed from the Far East, I guess we at least have a starting point to track down the host of the culprit.

I added them to my httpd.conf file when I couldn't find any other information on them. They've been banished until I get some proof they're not scavenging email addresses.

Mail Sweeper just got caught in my spider trap. It came from the same source - 211.218.242.253. Looks like another one to ban.
