ake Kozoru (www.kozoru.com). It's an up-and-coming search engine in Kansas that wants to steal market share from Google. But unlike a lot of search engines, it's not aiming to scour and index every scrap of information on the Web. It's aiming for quality over quantity.``We're going for a niche,'' said Kozuru Chief Executive John Flowers. ``We're specifically focusing on providing answers to specifically tailored questions.
``If you're asking a question about what car in 2003 had the highest safety rating, or how do I change the oil in my Acura, you can get those results in a regular search engine. But you'll have to sift through a lot of answers.
``We are trying to determine who the most authoritative sources are,'' he said.
kozoru is in the initial stages of research and development.
So quite a way to got then, although I see an Askjeeves founder on the board.
kozoru's system will rank information by giving dictionaries, encyclopedias and news stories more credibility than subjective sources, thereby establishing confidence and authority.
I hope they are using other authority sources. Iw would be good if they do come up with a new platform and approach to solving search. But I do have doubts when I see a free web counter on the homepage of their site. Hopefully it is a subsidiary of theirs. They do have a good line up of people on their board.
Good luck Kozuro.

`We are trying to determine who the most authoritative sources are,'' he said.
So, I'm also assuming that their listings will be maintained more in the likeness of DMOZ and Yahoo!, using editors?
This is the only way I can see the concept working since bots/scripts will always be inferior to the human eye.
