According to [archive.org...] it seems that those sites using Javascript are difficult to archive. I have noticed that once I put up Google Adsense on my pages they stopped being archived. I am wondering if those of you who are using Google Adsense are experiencing the same issues adn if you have found a way to resolve it?
"Javascript -- Javascript elements are often hard to archive, but especially if they generate links without having the full name in the page. Plus, if javascript needs to contact the originating server in order to work, it will fail when archived. " - From the Internet Archive Website.
Several search engines cache the current version of a page, but the only longterm cache I can think of is the Wayback Machine.
AdSense for regular publishers began in late June 2003, so it is just showing up in the archive now. And archive.org doesn't seem to have any problem with AdSense - the javascript executes perfectly, and even shows targeted ads. And the publisher ID is still the site owner's ID (archive.org is not overwriting it with their own).
If your site is showing June 2003 as the last date available in the archive, it is right where it should be. And if you have a site with the traffic of CNN, it will be showing the archived versions through the end of 2003.
