Hi.

I want to add a single meta tag to the head section of a single page of my Wordpress website.

Must I install a plugin to do this, or is there an easier way? I really don't want to install a plugin for this simple thing, unless it's really small and basic. I have enough plugins as it is!

Any advice will be appreciated.

If your theme offers Hooks, you can see if you can add a meta tag that way.

If your theme does not offer "hooks" then a plugin can do the job. There are plugins to handle meta tags, I would search the plugins area at WP and look for one that is kept up to date. I have used a small basic free plugin that only does meta tags and only where you specify. It was Meta Tag Manager. I needed it only for a very short time and can't share much info about it other than that it seemed to work OK for my use. I always try to avoid adding more plugins than are necessary, very few.
