What software do you think is best for building a site over subdomains, ie x amount of subdomains interlinked at various depths.

Why would you need software to build a site with sub-domains?

caine, with some software you can build a site with it's corresponding relative directory structure right on your hard drive. Are you asking if this can be done in the same way with using third-level domains and linking between them on your hard drive in the same way?
