Hello,

we are doing name services for a couple of domains, owned by our customers.

We encounter the problem, that customers using a Windows 2003 Server with default configuration are often unable to reach those sites from the corporate network.

It seems to help, if the users first contact our nameserver directly, i.e. by opening a page being on the same server in their browser or lauching a ping. After having done that, name resolution offered by this server works as expected.

The bind nameserver has recursion switched off by default.

Any ideas what this could be about?

Greetings

Neven
