Prose creator software?

This probably doesn't exist but if anyone knows it the people who read this forum.

I am looking for a program that can create readadble (mostly) grammatically correct text from a larger document. I am sure I heard about a program that can precise or condense and present, reports etc into a summary form.

No takers on this one... Hmmm... My thinking (read speculation or guessing) is that you will likely need a program capable of some level of AI (artificial intelligence), interpreting language (a prerequisite to condense it) is still in it's infancy.

Perhaps a forum dedicated to publishing might be a more productive place to ask. Hopefully someone can at least suggest some places to try.

a long shot too, but we use several text analysis programs (home grown) that almost do what you want for analysing text from focus groups.. I doubt that my company will loan it out though...

What i suggest is you do a search for "text analysis" and or "qualitative research" or "qualitative analysis".

There are quite a few programs that analyse text, from free to monstrously expensive, but the names escape me as we use our own now.

However knowing the keywords above may help.

rayjam - Microsoft Word actually has a summary feature built in. I've never tried it but I came across it in a tip section of an email newsletter. I can dig up the newsletter if you like. Drop me a StickyMail if you like.

I went in search of AI software which was fun. Ended up downloading a program which retails for $10,590 but hey it's only money (or it would be if I actually bought it at the end of the 30 day trial and there's no chance of that). It doesn't do what I need it to do, so I'll keep searching and will try those search terms - thanks.
