Hi there.

By this, I mean a single number that could be called from almost any country in the world ( as casino on net have)...

To me, this is extremely good for advertising purposes ( brand one single number over and over ) , customer service and billing, functionality also ( numbers for some countries happen not to work, and unless a client tells you, you can\'t keep checking for days ).

If anyone here has infos, please do forward your details to sticky mail or on the board.

Cheers.

Frank

Many countries (including UK and US) have numbers with an 0800 prefix. There is a 'global' version of this, with an 00800 prefix. This allows you to quote a single 00800 xxx... number that is the same in many countries. It doesn't work everywhere, because some national dialing code systems don't use a '0' long distance prefix, but e.g. '19'. Its as close at it gets, though, and you do have the same contact number you can quote for some of the larger economies.

The best place to contact for more info would probably be a long distance carrier (e.g. BT, ATT).
