I've been alerted to the requirement of certain liability insurances for my new small business as a web developer.
Working mainly from home, on occasion I visit clients at their homes and offices and also having clients visit my home.
Before calling an insurance agent directly and being subjected to thier sales patter about a range of insurance that I may (or may not) need for minimum cover, can anyone offer any, UK localised advice on the subject?
Disclaimer - never used them but do have two friends who do work for them.
Good luck with the venture.
i've tried getting information and advice from business link but never had any luck. i seem to keep getting directed to a company that wants £££ or something upfront to decide whether they can give me any advice ..... and IF they can give me advice, they want more £££ ..... and they cna't say whether the advice they give will be the advice i'm looking for ....... i'll go it alone ....
If you are talking about professional indemnity insurance, that is a different kettle of fish, but I they do that also.
Be happy to provide the details to anyone that wants them, drop me a sticky.
