Differences in perceived value in method of content delivery

I've got a dilemma, and I'd appreciate some advice.
(I hope this is the proper forum.)

I've got a product that I plan to sell to a niche audience.
My original idea was to package all the content into one neat bundle and sell it all together.

Lately, I've been considering dividing it up and selling it as a subscription-based item where they receive a portion of the content every month. (It can easily be divided this way without any loss to the user. In other words, you don't need all the content for it to have value.)

Each has its pros and cons.

ONE PACKAGE
-----------
It's easy
No keeping track of which issues you've sent to whom
No need to keep up with subscribers
Lots of content, gives good after-sale perceived value

SUBSCRIPTION
------------
Ability to offer "sample" to tease them with goods
After end of subscription, renewals = new revenue stream
You don't have to perfect 100% of content prior to sale

This is all theoretical, so I would appreciate some
input/advice who may have "the answer" about which is
the best approach. If not "the answer", an educated
guess would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

subscription is the harder sell when new and a virtual unknown. It can be more lucrative, but generally a longer time to breakeven and profitability.

But totally market dependent... if a hot ticket it could be worth the risk.

How familiar with your type of product offering is the audience? Will they instantly recognize the value?
