I followed a few threads looking for a boilerplate proposal and or contract. While I located an outdated contract, the proposal link returned the dreaded 404.

COuld anyone point me to a Website proposal contract to adapt?

Thanks for you help. Great spot here. I see I have lots to catch up on.

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Another member, sarkye, was kind enough to help me out with the same request a long time ago. If you can wait, I'll try to convert my highly modified version to an acceptable proposal document this weekend.

Thanks. I look forward to viewing. If anyone else has a copy or a link it would be helpful as well.

kwburke, there's a difference between a proposal and a contract/agreement. Also, there are differences in levels of formality, and there can be huge variances between them depending on the range of services offered and the extent of the project.

It also makes a difference whether it's for design & development or seo / seo consulting - or maybe a combination of the two.

The principles are basically the same - offer and acceptance, being clear on what's being offered and clear on what's expected. VERY clear, because no matter what's agreed upon, there can be people with preconceived notions in their head and they can expect what they imagined rather than the reality of what the agreement actually is.
