I see two aspects of consistency:
1)Doing things the same way- creates processes (makes things efficient)
2)Doing things over and over- creates habits (makes things effortless)
In business, consistency helps standardize processes, which makes training easier and helps reduce errors/defects. McDonald’s is the poster child for consistency- the menu, food preparation, store layout, and overall branding.
Personally, consistency helps you modify/break bad behaviors or create new ones. Repetition creates stronger neural pathways in the brain, making it easier to do those tasks. Example: When starting to exercise, the first few days may seem extremely difficult, but it becomes easier after the initial period.
How are you being consistent in your business/life? What are some processes/habits you have developed (or bad ones that you overcame)?
