Happy New Year!
Like most other people, I have also made several new resolutions for the New Year. One of them is to be more active on social media, particularly posting every day. However, instead of just posting random stuff every day, I’ve decided to be more specific.
Each day, I’m going to pick a word and write about what that word means to me in relation to myself, business, or life in general. In the spirit of making (and keeping) New Year’s resolutions, today’s word is commitment.
I don’t see any point in making New Year’s resolutions unless you’re truly committed to keeping them. And for me, making a commitment means making a promise. Not to try, but to DO. No excuses!
Yes, things come up. But making a commitment means preparing contingencies and taking steps to prepare for and alleviate those “things” that come up.
Every time you use something as an excuse for breaking a commitment, it becomes easier and easier to find excuses in the future. I fell into that trap in my earlier years, but luckily, I’ve been able to reverse myself.
What does "commitment" mean to you as a business owner/webmaster?
