With 2017 closing out, what are your goals for the next year? (And did you meet your 2017 goals?)

For myself:
On the business side:
- We are currently developing an App and plan to have it ready for launch by the end of Q2.
- Finish getting 1 university on board for using our white label service. Add at least 1 more college and 1 organization using the service.

On the technology side:
- Complete migration to https for all sites.
- Finish conversion of MS SQL databases to MySQL.
- Revamp oldest site to be more aligned with current business focus.

For the very first time since I started my sites a decade and a half ago I'm pretty much feature complete. It actually is a rather strange feeling!

Even an evergreen info site needs maintenance as news adds to/alters content but it is minimal effort compared to initial creation. Otherwise, I expect to continue:
* testing PWAs to supplement/replace native apps;
* ongoing marketing;
* R&D into analytics and contextual delivery via Long Short-Term Memory Recurrent Neural Networks.

I may actually have (time) to get myself a life!

Having taken a new position for a small museum I can ply my skills and experience pretty much to my heart's desire so this year will be spent building out the tech framework I want and developing the strategies. On a personal note, I'm still working on my personal business goals which have morphed many times over the years. Suffice to say, I am vetting the latest iteration of what I want to be when I grow up. I'm hoping this version is the final one but we'll see. :)

All I want is to have more time for my family. At the end is all it matters.

I've decided this year to focus more on sites that can run in hands-off mode. So that means static informational sites that I can put ads on and affiliate links/products. I'm tired of forums, I've been doing that 17 years now, I have to check 3-5 times a day to stay sane, or so I thought LOL. Not to mention script updates, backups to worry about, etc. I've got a big project I need to finish but it's static pages and evergreen (although not in high demand). I also really should stop doing everything and hire more people to help out with some tasks. I did hire a part time moderator recently.

Stay sane. Healthy. Make it to next birthday. Anything else is icing on the cake.
