For anyone on here that has advanced to doing some freelance work or has started their own company: what kind of website proposal do you guys use when negotiating a deal with a client?

So far I've mainly been using a website proposal template that I got from an online site.

Does anybody have something similar? A tried and true template or something that has helped you negotiate a higher price? Would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Have you thought about showing them some of your previous work and gotten some reviews from past customers?

If one is going to do this kind of work there should exist "success stories" of sites you have created, managed, or coded. That's your profile to get new business. If you are new and attempting to do cookie cutter cut and paste template style it might be more difficult. CMS programs such as WordPress will do a better job than that... and are free. The game on the web these days is much more difficult and the bar for freelancing to entry is quite a bit higher than it was 10 years back, heck even 5 years back!
