Fulfill Order As Soon As Client Pays Paypal Invoice?

Automated method to send the order upon payment?

My company is in the graphics business (digital images), and I'm looking for a way to automate the delivery of the final product to the client.

At present, the final steps of our workflow go something like this:
5. Email a "Proof" (low-resolution) version of the completed graphic to the client.
6. Receive an "I like it" email back from the client.
7. Prepare a Paypal invoice, have it sent to the client.
8. Receive email from Paypal showing that the invoice has been paid.
9. Email the completed graphic (high resolution) to the client.

Does anyone here know a way to do step 9 automatically...send the completed graphic image to the client as soon as s/he pays the Paypal invoice? Each client's graphic is different.

Thank you.

I don't have an answer to the automated aspect (how paypal can trigger your system to send product to client), but I do have to ask why would you want to do that? For quality control purposes that final step is your last chance to make sure the client is a happy camper, by verifying the product is correct and the proper client receives it, and you log it as complete. Otherwise, you will be relying on a third party trigger to send your product.

In step 5 I've asked the client if s/he is satisfied with the product, and if I should send them an invoice.
In step 8 they have replied affirmatively, and in step 8 I can see that they have paid the invoice.
At that point I would feel kind of silly asking if they want me to send them the graphic that they have already said they liked and have paid for :)

My reason for wanting to automate step 9 is to hurry the final product to the client, to have them receive it as soon as they have paid. This is primarily an issue when working across time zones, when I'm asleep in bed and the client has just paid the bill and wonders when they will get their product.

It seems like some Paypal developer would have created a "fulfillment-automator" script to accomplish this task...any idea where to look?

I stopped using PayPal for payments some time ago, so I don't know the current setup. For web payments (customer completes the order, clicks to pay via PayPal, completes the transaction on PayPal, then gets set back to your site with the payment status), it used to be that you could do some processing on the return page, based on the data PayPal sent back. Not sure how it works with invoices, but I'm sure you could setup something similar.

Sounds like you need the kind of script that is used with paypal to pay for "digital goods"..paypal payment is make and the customer then gets a password to a folder on your server , within which resides the file..
Try searching for Paypal Auotmated Digital Fulfillment script at envato or somewhere similar..you should find some which you can "tweak" or have tweaked by their author to do what you need..
