Hi,

Today i searched for my company name in Google.com & to a great surprise i found Google is showing company founder name wrong, who is no where related to our industry. Understanding the impact on company reputation i took no time in sending feedback to Google.
My question is how many days Google will take to correct this information & what should i do to stop such things in future.

Where did Google have the incorrect information? Google Places?

Google gets their information from a variety of sources and like all things computerized, garbage in = garbage out. If incorrect information is in just one place, that's all it takes some times.

pretty much the best you can do is make sure all the information you put out is correct and be diligent in correcting any misinformation you find that others put out.

We have reported this issue to Google many times but there no corrections yet.Google is showing source as Wikipedia but our Wikipedia page has correct information.

I just came across a particularly striking example of wrong info in the Knowledge Graph, and thought I'd kick this up.

There's a landmark in San Francisco and an institution in San Francisco which both share two words in their name, and many, many travel publications and local guide sites mix them up... generally attaching the wrong photo to the institution's name.

I see the confusion not only in the Knowledge Graph image display, but also in Google Images. The (incorrect) image shown in the Knowledge Graph is pulled from a very fancy guide site, which flat out incorrectly labels the photo.

In my experience, Google does look at errors when you report them... but a Google Map error I reported once took 6 months to fix. In this case, so many Image results have it wrong that I suspect it will take them a very long time to fix it.
