In the last few months our website has gone from being number one in google for a three letter keyword which we have been number one on since about 1998, i can't see why our site is gone from google as we never paid for links or did any black hat stuff.

So a quick check over our traffic stats to our e-commerce store today, i found that porn sites are linking to our site and some store items which are not porn related, this is very irritating to us! why would they be visiting our site or even linking to it, I do not want to be guilty by association with them, so it seems one of our competitors has been placing links to our site under a lot of users on this porn site, we have tried to contact the website owner to remove the link, be the email listed on the whois is bounding, and there is no other way of contacting them.

What can we do to combat links from porn sites?

Bob some more info would help. You said gone does that mean a site search doesn't bring the site up, or are you talking about the single keyword you lost in the serps?
