WMT Site Verification

1 site verified in 2 different WMT accounts?

Hi All

Am I going completely mad or ....

Is it possible to have one site verified in two different webmaster tools accounts?

I'm 100% sure its not, but my developers are telling me they submitted the site map and verified the site in WMT.

Considering I have access to the WMT (they couldnt possibly know my password) account and my sites are all verified, I dont see how they can say, they did this.

If you go to WMT and add a new site, there are 4 ways to verify:
1) Add an HTML verification page to the site
2) Add a meta tag to the site's HTML
3) Use Google Analytics
4) Add a DNS record to the domain's configuration

Since your develops have access to the site, 1 or 2 is very easy to do.

Thanks lifeinasia. I assumed that the verification proccess would be unique to a specfic account but it seems its not. Sites can be verified by multiple accounts (access permitting)
