Is anybody using PayPal for their credit card processing? I have heard lots of complaints about their customer service, but that was awhile ago, and I was wondering if they've gotten better...

My experience is that customers hate it. They have to establish a new account with Paypal, rather than just typing a credit card number into your site.

Remember, the easier you make it for the customer, the more likely they will be to actually complete the purchase.

Brett has had no problems to my knowledge.

I agree with chameleon 100% however. It was a nightmare to pay for the PubConference.

I use it without hesitation. Customers are used to entering a bunch of information everytime they buy something, and with PayPal being accepted more and more, they like the on-line ability to keep track of finances.

As a merchant I prefer it to regular card processors as the fees are much more reasonable, and I don't have to deal with chargeback issues. I tell the customers I don't want their card numbers and they seem to like that.
