Who is the best web hosting company out there?

I'm looking for a reliable, reasonably priced web hosting company out there

My old web hosting company has been giving me headaches, and I'm trying to find another web hosting company with a reseller program that I can use to continue hosting my sites, and other client sites that I design and develop.

Can I get suggestions on companies that the webmasterworld community has had experience with, and who they'll recommend as the most reliable, and cost efficient web hosting program on the web.

I'm also looking to get into the web hosting reseller business, and would also appreciate suggestions, and comments on the web hosting reseller programs. I've looked at <snip, no URL's please>

Everyone will have their own answer. We try to avoid questions like this because it promotes URL dropping.

The quick answer is it depends on what you are looking for. Everyone looks for different features. Some look for ASP, some look for PHP&GD, Some want lots of space, some want cheap,and some want root access. There are thousands of hosting comanies. And no "best" company.

The best web host is one that you can walk through the front and butt heads with the manager, if need be. I got screwed by a domain name registrar that I could only deal with through e-mail. Well, you can probably guess how much satisfaction I got. So when it was time to find a hosting company I found one locally. At least now if their is a problem I can get my pound of flesh!

Also if you ever decide to set up your own server you have already set up a rapport with a host.
