Client Trojan?

Hi all,

We had an email from a new client filling in a callback form on our website. Upon clicking the submit button the user reports a popup window informed them of a 'Trojan Horse Virus', thats bacically all we know and dont know if the machine had existing problems.

Our thoughts are that the user has a security system returning this when using form send data buttons!

Anyone else heard of this, should we be worried

A couple of things spring to mind.
1. Find out what a/v spyware protection they have on their machine. That would be my first port of call.

2. I don't want to worry you, but, asuming they have protected their machine, have you checked it's not malware that's got onto your site?

Yes I have tested the form within 3 different browsers and on different computers and no problems for us here.

I shall need to find out two things I think:

.How many clients have submitted through this particular form.
.And as engine mentioned, contacting the client who raised the issue too to see what protection they have.
