Remote Meeting ASP's, desktop sharing

All of my clients, save one, are out of state. I'm curious if anyone has used a remote meeting ASP, like webex.com (provided only as a reference). I can't really afford webex, but I've found some similar with remote application/desktop sharing at $30/month unlimited, and am curious about other's experiences.

The reason I need remote desktop/application sharing is so I can walk my clients thru their content management interfaces, or present graphic designs (and give them limited ability to actually use Photoshop, Corel, etc.) to point out, make, or otherwise illustrate the changes they want.

I'd use something like PC anywhere, but I want minimal impact on my clients (aka no downloads, installs, etc.). I also need cross-platform sharing.

Anyone using this as a business tool?

Is netmeeting the sort of thing you are looking for...maybe a higher calibre? It has basic drawing tools, video conferencing etc, so it covers the basics, and no doubt if the client is using windows it will already be installed.

i also know that you can cut and paste image files into the "drawing area" "as is"....so thats a nice bonus.

Im sure CTRL +C and +V also work in the textpad bit, so maybe it fits?

I thought of Netmeeting, but it's not cross platform... I'd like to be able to grant my client the ability to use the software in a remote desktop sharing kinda way...

for example, I'd like to be able to talk him thru the administrator for his content management system. If I was sitting here watching him use my web browser, I could say "no, no NEVER click that button" in advance, instead of hearing him say over the phone "I clicked something, and it said SQL error, data connection no longer available/not found"...

I was planning a trip to educate him on this, but that'd be around $1k, and on a $10k budget, it's not practical.

I've been using GoToMyPC for a bunch of remote desktop/access trials in my company and it's been quite good. The download/install is minimal and it's cross platform.

Or you could just have them setup VNC and you could give the presentation on their computer ;)

I've used WebEx and think it's fabulous, but it is pricey.

I've done excellent sales presentations with NetMeeting without a problem. We recently did a sales demo with my team in Dallas, one client in Kansas City, and the client's home office in Denver.
