Serious issue with traffic usage reports

Hi, I'm having a serious issue which I can't ask to my hosting provider unless I get a second opinion first.

The problem is, that the bandwidth usage reports don't match. For my main site, AWStats report that I used 466 GB on this month, while DirectAdmin states that the usage was 920 GB, almost twice the other value. This happens on the dedicated server. The value I'm seeing is the value for user [MYSITE] on both AWStats and the DirectAdmin panel.

However, I have another server, (a VPS for downloads) and in there the values match almost perfectly: AWStats=350 GB, DirectAdmin=353 GB.

I'd appreciate if someone could point to any reasonable explanation on this, however I'm sure the real value is measured by awstats and the other is not correct. The question is, how can I check this out (I have full root access on the server just in case) and find the problem.
