I was curious to see what is a good amount of links to add to a site per week or per month? Also, I would want to see if the size of the site was a factor? (small, medium and large)
I am monitoring a website and want to create enough links a week or month but not too many links....what are your suggestions?
Thank you!

Link appropriately. If it works, do it and don't worry about the number. If not appropriate don't link. If you want a number... can't give it to you. Sorry. Don't know what that number might be, but I DO know that weak or inappropriate links will suck the juice mighty dang quick.
Link right, be bright. Link wrong...

There is no strong facts that large amount of links in a day can really get your sites penalize but the webmaster community suggested that you must limit your links number. I suggest that you follow this rule to make you not to suffer in the long run..

You can link to a site or page and "awaken" it. You can underlink and put a page to "sleep" for a short period. You can overlink to a page and put it to "sleep" for a long period. Linking is a tricky business today, there are no hard fast rules that can be applied globally.

there is not limit of link building, atleast submit 5 to 7 links on daily basis or make it your routine, if you want to get higher ranking for any particular keyword.
