My thinking for including web design is so my customers can get there site done and also optimized by me, one consultants instead of two. Targeting small business owners. I am okay in design, but will need to spend sometime to get things rolling again, been off of it for a few years. I intend to outsource this portion eventually. May also outsource some of the grunt SEO work.
As my friend suggested, I should just focus on one 1 narrow field: SEO and do some type of referral program with other designers.
I don't want to do this full-time, I want to also focus on my affiliate marketing.
Just outsource the SEO as well, mark it all up, become a manager and don't work at all.
I'm not entirely sure, but I think I sense a hint of sarcasm in that remark.
Why not do what you're best at instead of trying to offer services for the he** of it? If you're best at SEO - do that.
... well this is exactly what I do!
managing projects and marshalling communication between client and offshore designers does not exactly fall under the category of "don't work at all"
clearly you are not a consultant... just kidding...
