Starting a SEO business, include web design too or no?

Should I include web design in my business?

Going to start my own consulting company. Should I only focus on SEO or should I also include web design?

My thinking for including web design is so my customers can get there site done and also optimized by me, one consultants instead of two. Targeting small business owners. I am okay in design, but will need to spend sometime to get things rolling again, been off of it for a few years. I intend to outsource this portion eventually. May also outsource some of the grunt SEO work.

As my friend suggested, I should just focus on one 1 narrow field: SEO and do some type of referral program with other designers.

I don't want to do this full-time, I want to also focus on my affiliate marketing.

Why not do what you're best at instead of trying to offer services for the he** of it? If you're best at SEO - do that.

managing projects and marshalling communication between client and offshore designers does not exactly fall under the category of "don't work at all"

outsourcing and just doing my project managing is my ultimate goal.

I leaning towards just outsourcing, but also doing some of it myself, mainly the copy and sub page implementation. Once I have the final design, I can do the rest quickly.
