I'm talking Great Britain here.

Lets say I have all the address, streename, city, county but I don't have the postcode.

surely it's possible to find the rest automagically, any ideas?

You need to purchase the Postcode Address File (PAF) from the Post Office.

Well, in the US the USPS has this integrated into the API tools and it can be queried programmatically, perhaps your postal service has the same ability.

For a small number of manual lookups that is great. If you want to do it programatically then you will need to buy the PAF.
