Google is indexing my site's search queries

For some reason, Google is finding some keywords from somewhere and searching them on my site then it ends up indexing hose pages so among my index pages on google are so many pages with different keyword queries like

www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?query=shredder
www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?query=flash
www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/search.cgi?query=cup

some of these keywords have nothing to do with my site
so now it has 2 times the number of pages my site has in it's index

If the only page showing from the /cgi-bin/ folder is your search page add a robots.txt file to your site disallowing the /cgi-bin/ folder.
