I guess our Barracuda's are still learning on this one. Over the past few days, I've gotten quite a few of these. They are all pretty much the same format. You too?

Never clicked on the links (obviously), but I assume it's probably a virus/trojan rather than SPAM.

Yep, I have gotten a couple of dozen of these over that last couple days. I have never clicked on the links either for obvious reasons. Hopefully they will move onto less annoying strategies in a few days.

Got a few of these as well! One was from a poker site LOL - the only gamble would be clicking on the link!

When will we get a few politicians prepared to stand up and make anti-spam their platform ticket! Ten years jail sentence promised for offenders - we pledge $millions to seek and destroy them.
They'd have my vote.

Why not click on the link? Don't they just go to a web page?

Most likely a web page loaded with Trojans, vuruses, and other nasties. If you're convinced your computer is completely bulletptoof, go for it and let us know your results. :)

lol, I'm not clicking those links. While I feel pretty safe behind my hardware/software configurations, there is no need for me to invite trouble. Might as well ask me to "click that .exe" file. :)

That is of course assuming you still have a working computer when you are done, or still have Internet access.

Methinks all of your irony meters are on the fritz. :-)

However, I will say - curiosity did get the better of me one day. I created a restore point, made sure all my data was backed up to DVD, and hit a couple of them. I'm happy to say Grisoft AVG went off like a three-alarm fire.

I did stumble on a couple once, customer calls in, "hmm, my page is blank, you're the web guy, so what did you do?" Same deal, off I go to investigate and boom, the 1-pixel page and AVG nearly knocked me out of my seat. :-) Unfortunately, this was not the case for him. "Updates? I'm supposed to update my anti-virus?"
