US Paypal Account - In Pakistan Now - Need to receive money here

I have US Paypal, am in Pakistan these days .... How to get my money here?

I have a very specific issue. My brother lives in US, have a paypal account there (I use it, that is for me) connected with a bank account (Bank Of America). He came here (Pakistan) a week ago and will be living here for some time.

I need the money from Paypal, here in Pakistan. I have my bank account here with Standard Chartered bank. How can I solve this problem.... please guide.

You would need a Paypal account of your own.

Your brother is already breeching TOS by giving you access (all his money could be 'frozen' indefinitely).

If you try to register an account that is not yours, you risk losing all.

I do not know the Paypal set up in Pakistan - but you need to read your local Paypal site quite carefully.

Well, I don't think I am doing anything illegal. My brother opened the account there in US as Paypal is not available in Pakistan. He was able to open with his details as he was having the ssn and everything to fulfill the formalities.

He operated it very rarely when he was in US until a week ago. It was me who often used to operate the account from here in Pakistan. The account is opened since more than 1 year.

Even Paypal knows about this that my brother was there in US until a week ago and now he is here in Pakistan and will stay here for some months. I have asked them about these things.

All they can help is within US. Nothing available to Pakistan right now.

Do you think the last option would be sending this payment to someone's else paypal and then he send me the payment through wire transfer .... if some of you people can share their experience .... or know about how to go ahead in solving this issue.

I'm not saying it's illegal, simply against their terms and conditions.

Go read them.

Many accounts have been frozen for less, believe me.

What I think about is my account is active since more than a year. I have been using this account for many transactions.

In short, I think it would be better to send this money to my relatives paypal account and he then wire transfer me to my bank.

What do you think about as the best solution for getting my money out. I will keep using this account as I have no other option at the moment. But I will definitely keep the balance under $100.

You can either withdraw cash to the bank account linked to the paypal account - or send a payment to another bank account.

That may have to be in the US, however - you'll need to check which countries you can send cash to.

I recently came to know from my brother that the account to which paypal is connected was closed when he was coming.

As far as second option is concerned, I have asked paypal and they told me I can only request payment with in US.

Ok, so can I link my relatives bank account to paypal?
How can I do so? What information I would need to do that?
I think that is free of charge, right?

Or the last option would be sending payment to their paypal and they pay me here.

What do you think is good and cheap?

I'd send them the money via Paypal.

It'll lose a bit - but so does transferring money out of your Paypal account, I think.

and I think once that bank account will be connected to my Paypal, It won't even cost me a penny I think to get the money in my relatives bank account .... they will send me the money here, It will cost me some more dollars .... Its okay ...

You currently have a bank account registered with ebay - you could try to change it to another one.

But don't forget that there is a risk attached to doing this - the risk that Paypal will see this as a suspicious activity.

The bank account you use will need to be in the US, where the Paypal account is.

I read everything what you have written. Considering each and every aspect it seems like sending money from paypal to my relatives paypal will cost me some charges but will be safe from huge loss.

By the way, my relatives lives in US and therefore has a US paypal account. I don't know how you connected this with ebay. Please let me know if I can connect their US bank account with my US paypal account, both are US based.

If your US friends are happy for you to link to their US bank account with your paypal account, that looks like the best solution. There will be fees - but with paypal, there are always fees! :)

Ok, so the best solution would be connecting their bank account with my paypal. It seems like that would be cheaper too.

I've just sent them an email asking about their advice as he has been in the IT industry since decades. I have all the possible solutions in my mind. Will do one of these two solutions as soon as possible.
