Hi,

I'm a Canadian who's lived in Beijing for the past 3 years. Sure it's polluted but it's amazing witnessing the huge explosion of growth and excitement in the country (plus it's a great place to travel from) Currently designing/ programming/marketing/SEO websites for large foreign companies (profits are high). Have a great team of designers that would rival those in NY. However finding high quality local programmers is proving to be extremely hard. At the moment locals program the basics and I go through and build the additions.

Have been thinking about outsourcing and see some great opportunities if done properly. Many predict China will be taking over part of India's outsourcing market. The main reason to outsource to China would of course be near unlimited, cheap, dedicated, semi-skilled labor. Some of the negatives are lack of English skills, time micro managing employees, and high cost of rent.

I have read many articles about webmasters looking for outsourcing people. So I come to you and ask;

a) what would be the main mental hurdles outsourcing to Beijing?
b) What are the top 3 things you would like to see from an outsourcing company? new business model?
c) what you don't want?

I will be opening an office for my corporate local website business in the next 6 months... just want to know if anyone's interested in the outsourcing? or if anyone is interested in entering the China market and would like a local partner?

have a great day,
Derek
