I am trying to gather various thoughts, techniques, strategies, etc. for what other online sites are doing to make sure members active in their marketplace are indeed whom they say they are...
One idea I had in mind was the technique of placing two small pending charges againist the members credit card (on file), the member can then verify the two small pending charges with their bank and confirm the amounts on our site which would verify the account. Of course credit cards would not be stored on the server since once the pending charges were made we could delete the cc information.
Any other thoughts, ideas, etc?
