Has anyone increased their business by belonging to Which?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has had good results by displaying the Which?Webtrader logo on their site.

At the moment my site (classified ads type) seems to get plenty of lookers but few buyers.

Any ideas ?

Hi Paul, I can't comment on your tire kickers as I think that is another issue, but, carrying the lWhich? Webtrader logo does suggest that the site is respectable. It would give me more confidence to trade with the site.

i've never joined it as i read almost exactly the same question a long long time ago. most of those that replied said they hadn't had any increase in sales, but customers were more willing to complain ... and of course, they know their rights, all thanks to which ...

but what i really can't work out is why a consumers organisation that would throw up it's arms in horror if you were asking for credit card details in return for free stuff, does just that themselves .... even stranger is that the uk government seems to endorse that practise by endorsing which ....

i'm going to look into getting the trustuk hallmark - see trustuk.gov.uk and click the box under the menu for more info

i've also seen a few sites mentioning something about being members of some trading standards thing - could be this - [tradingstandards.gov.uk...] - another site refers to trading standards "business standards partnership", although i can't find any info on that anywhere, not even with a site search of tradingstandards.gov.uk through google.

anyone know of any other similar schemes in the uk?
