Would offering Image Hosting services Improve my Rankings?

Will it improve my site's visits, page views, and Alexa Rankings?

Hello All.

I was thinking of offering my visitors a free image hosting utility.

But was wondering, when they upload images and use them on other websites and forums, would those impressions of images hosted on my website but displayed on other websites, improve my Alexa ranking and my site hits?

As for Alexa, that would depend on whether the new visitors (or repeat visitors) were alexa toolbar users.

Why would you care about the visitor stats for alexa toolbar users, and not users of the other 378,629 other types of toolbar?

It would not directly help your se rankings. It can indirectly help you. You could put a watermark on the images with your domain name in it.
