Setting up Pricing Schedule

Are there any online resources/best practices for setting up a pricing structure for a website that will feature advertising, either by impression or by click.
It's early, but I'm not sure what to charge my advertisers.

Do some google searches for terms like "advertise with us" plus terms related generally to your niche.. ie. "advertise with us" antique miniature widgets

You should find pages from people who are offering ads on their sites. What you are trying to determine is the CPM for those ads.

Also, consider that something like adsense will bring in an ecpm of perhaps somewhere between 2 and 10. In other words, anwywere from $2 to $10 per thousand ad impressions.

The best way of doing things would be to have an ad rotator or ad management software that will count impressions for you.

Hopefully, some other people can give you some more specific info.

Also, I would go over to the GOOGLE SEARCH forum here and look for the thread on google, nofollow and paid links. It appears that google is going on a witch hunt for paid links.
