Hope you stay married through the whole thing. I think my wife would want to kill me after the first week.

Good luck.

Best of luck with it.

"I think my wife would want to kill me after the first week. "

Family-run businesses can be very stressful on a marriage. Try not to take your work home with you.

All this talk of death is depressing :) On the positive side if you live through the experience of working in the business with your wife you can get some great tax deductions and benefits by having her employed.

One of my favorites is the self-insured medical reimbursement plan. Not as cool if you have to buy your own insurance, but great if you are insured by her through another job and want to write off the co-pays and items insurance won't pay.

Just the same, good luck the roller coaster ride is just starting!

Had a quick look round your site, your portfolio is interesting, out of the 5 I clicked 2 were pure adsense mockups with tons of popups and unders, 1 was completely broken and the other 2 were different designs to the one displayed in your thumbnails?

believe this or not, but that is not my site...i just found out about that today from a co-worker...

that is freaking bizarre....if you want to see what my work is about, take a look at www-cougarmtn[dot]com that is the company i am leaving...

honestly, that ACN web deisngs dot com, is NOT my site.....bizarre twist but, no....

but now that i see that, i dont know what im going to name my site....something more than just web designs, becuase i offer more than that.....Graphic Design, SEO, Office Networking, project management....etc.....

plus, no offense, but my site will look alot better than that....

Tony address the fact that if you choose this name, you are going to have to deal with this from this day forward. Since they have established first use, it is not likely you are going to gain much legal ground if you contest it.

I would pick another name, and base it on something that is the core of your concepts. What sets you apart from everyone you are competing with?

I would agree. Maybe try and develop a cool tag line for people to remember first and then create a company name based on the tag line. That way your branding works with you and not against.

lol you're right that was what I tracked down...
"ACN Designs L.L.C."

And as you can see my first impressions were not positive..

The good thing is ( I suppose ) at least the problem has been pointed out to you now..

ANC Designs is too clinical anyway, get creative, make it a positive...
