Estimate SEO costs for a client

I have lot of business in SEO area locally, most of the things are done for free or a nominal amount.
I am unsure if I am charging very very less to few customers of mine?

I need to know what are the international market rates for SEO, I have 1.5 years of experience in SEO for dynamic sites, link-building, traffic-building.

Can you help me determine correct costs for my services?

How much is your time worth, or better, what kind of salary would you prefer to make?

Eg, if you were working full time - what would that pay? 50K, 100K, 200K? Then, once you know what you would like to make, you can translate that into how many clients you would need to be able to make X, and then given how many clients you can manage at a time, easily come up with a figure.

This is what we've done for our pricing model, some companies complain "we're expensive" and others don't bat an eye at the prices.

At the end of the day, you need to charge enough per client to make the total bucket of clients you sign worth your time. Everybody puts a different value on their own work, so it's a personal decision once you map out the variables.

Also...keep in mind your USP or unique selling proposition - is it something people would pay extra for? Or, given the way you sell & position your services, are you the "discount service provider"...eg, does your collateral say "we'll beat competitors prices & we accept all competitor coupons" or do you say "looking for a discount, try these guys - looking for a highly trained professional, try us".

Hello Jeremy,
I am unsure about estimating about how much my time is worth money... if I am working full-time 4 hours a day on my own sites I am able to make more then 5000 US$ per month (exluding my I.T. job)

I am joining with this new project related to SEO full-time (8 hours a day) not more then 1 client.

What i need to do on this project.
1. Optimize member pages (like myspace member profile pages) better search engine visibility

2. Optmize list of pages which contains products users have bought from this dating site (inhouse ecommerce integration).

3. How many links should we point to product pages from internal domain?

4. How can we write articles on other websites to get more traffic?

I need to estimate costs for above mentioned points.
