"Tell a Friend Feature" - Spam?

Hi Folks,

Question:

I want my site visitors to inform their friends about my site.

Is having a "Tell a Friend" page now considered spam? The page would have 5 fields, and a submit button....

If this is now considered spam I suppose my only other option is to capture email addresses and ask my customers to forward it on to their friends,

Thoughts?
