Peachtree or Quickbooks?

I am trying to decide on QuickBooks or Peachtree from Sage. Has anyone used any of the new Peachtree products in the last 2 years? I read they have improved it a lot.

Thanks in advance for any advice and feedback.

I'm using Peachtree Complete Accounting 2005 and I'm happy with it. I use QB for a smaller company and I'm happy with that too. The decision to use Peachtree is about numbers - I have more items and customers than the standard QB install will manage.

Complete is an advanced accounting package. If you generate reports you may want to add Crystal reports. I created a detail Chart of Accounts and I track income and expenses down to the smallest widget.

QuickBooks still has a better user interface, tasks are easier to perform. With a little practice those same tasks are no more difficult with Peachtree. I think there is some assumption that Peachtree users will have an accounting background.

What sort of improvements? I know their Payroll was improved.

GNUCash seems to be only for nix/mac? Is there a version for windows?

I heard there is a way to run these programs in windows but cant remember how.

Nope, that didn't happen. At least not that I've seen.
