Anyone else use the Symantec Email Scanner? If so, are you having any problems with it crashing Outlook? I have to restart each time it crashes and it is now happening once or twice a day.

I'm running NAV 2005 with latest updates and no issues. Yes, running it against Outlook 2003 on each email sent/received. I've never had any issue though ... did you try running a LIVE UPDATE on NAV lately?

I have auto-update on. I'm going to uninstall here shortly and then do a reinstall. It's rare that I ever have to do that but that is my next step.

I have auto-update on as well. However, that only gets virus definition updates. To force program updates you must request a LIVE UPDATE from the NAV interface window. Yes, this is contrary to what the documentation states ...

Automatic LiveUpdate status tells you if the Automatic LiveUpdate feature is on. You should have Automatic LiveUpdate turned on to ensure that Norton AntiVirus has the latest virus definitions and program updates.

... however, I have found in the past that it just does not do what it says it is going to do. I have had to force updates by requesting them specifically through the interface.
